frustrating
Date:21 August 2010
"Forever getting jams in the print queue and having to unplug and start again, and the paper feed keeps sticking. I've never had a printer that has so many problems. I would have liked more detailed instructions on how to deal with some of these instead of having to call up for help because the solutions given don't apply or don't work. On the plus side when it does work the print quality is good. Wouldn't buy again."

HP F2290 and 80
Date:24 September 2008
"I purchased an HP F2290 in September 2008 and was so impressed at the price and value that I had to go to purchase another, but as the F 2290 was sold out had to get an F2280. At this price they are almost no more than a set of replacement cartridges!
Everything worked first time with no problems. The greatest thing is that they function as a stand-alone copier - very useful!
Only problem is that the drivers for these are limited to certain OSs. It would be useful if there were more drivers available for other OSs. Nevertheless in value for money you can't beat this offer - £29, that is ridiculous!

Blinding value

"What did I expect for £30 - very little really. What did I get for £30 - an amazing little printer that was able to print the rigging on a sailing boat in the distance in relative detail. It scans, it copies it prints ok and it worked first time out of the box (took a bit of time to set up though) - never had that before!!. However I remembered to disconnect the antivirus and didn't plug in the USB lead until told. Cartridges look a little expensive - I'll have to shop around. Still havene't tried the optional 6 colour cartridge - I assume it just plugs in place of the 3 colour cartrige but haven't yet found anything in print to confirm that. It came with power lead but no USB - you'll need one. There wasn't any OCR on the CD but a quick freeware download sorted that. Came with sufficient ink cartridges to start ordinary printing (not photo printing). It cost me £10 yesterday to park my car. £30 is barely a meal out!"
